As is the case with most of my minicasts, two events happened this past week that inspired me to hop on the mic. If you're thinking "uh oh, here we go" you wouldn't be too far off.
Inspiration #1 came in the form of a webinar that was about as far from being diverse as you could get, in unfortunately too many ways.
I'll say it again and again until I begin to see it first hand, event, conference, webinar and summit organizers, please remember to read the room and know your audience and line up presenters that reflect them, not you! I am told this all the time by podcast coaches so I'm paying it forward by extending you the same advice. Know your audience! It doesn't get any simpler than that.
Your attendees are so much more savvy today than they were a mere 2 years ago, please understand that we don't learn the same, work the same, even process the same, keep this in mind as you create your event line up and agenda. Enough said.
Inspiration #2 came when I heard an alternative definition of what it means to be an introvert. Truly blew my mind, I love when that happens! I'll give you a hint...it has to do with our energy levels...who knew?!
Did you get a chance to listen in? Did I hit the mark? Do you agree? Is there anything that I may have missed that you would like to dive into a bit further? I invite you to click that fancy Contact Me button above and let me know or register to be a guest and let's continue the conversation.
