AYA Cancer Advocate Alexa Jett

"Never allow the pain of your past to speak louder than the promises of your future"
My guest for this special episode was the remarkable and inspiring Alexa Jett. Alexa is an author, blogger, thyroid cancer survivor and AYA Cancer Advocate.
Alexa runs a successful blog, has written numerous articles for magazines and publications and most recently conducted an interview with the Wall Street Journal on the affects of COVID-19 on the AYA cancer community.
Listen in as Alexa shares her inspiring, heartfelt and at times, funny journey. Plus, Alexa and I share a love of dry humor and wit....two qualities I strongly admire in my friends.

Alexa Jett
Author + Blogger + AYA Cancer Advocate
Alexa Jett was diagnosed with Papillary thyroid cancer in early 2017. She had a total thyroidectomy and central neck dissection in May of 2017. A fierce advocate for thyroid cancer and AYA (Adolescent and Young Adult) patients, who are considered “orphans” in the oncology community and while some strides have been made, we have a loooooooong way to go. Her oncologist said she hopes that hers is the generation that changes this, and Alexa said they ARE the generation that will change this!
