Fuel, Flow, and Fierce Vibes: Your Energy Reset Starts Here with Health & Wellness Coach, Adrienne Simmons

“It starts with a why; if you don’t have a reason why you want to make health changes and better lifestyle changes in your life, you’re always going to default to what’s comfortable.”
Feeling like your energy’s on a permanent coffee break? You’re not alone—and today’s guest knows exactly how that feels.
In this episode of Have a Seat, I’m joined by the vibrant and inspiring Adrienne Simmons, a health and wellness coach who’s on a mission to help us reclaim our vitality as we age.
Once known as the “Energizer Bunny,” Adrienne hit a wall in her 50s that left her tired, foggy, and facing a scary pre-diabetes diagnosis. But instead of accepting that as her new normal, she took charge and created a lifestyle reboot that brought her energy—and joy—roaring back.
If you’ve been feeling stuck, sluggish, or stretched too thin, this episode is the wake-up call your body and mind have been waiting for.
If you find my content of value, would you consider supporting Have A Seat by Buying Me A Coffee?
It's quick and simple and truly appreciated!
Thank you for listening!

Debra Coleman
All right, friends. Well, here we are. Another fantastic episode of have a seat conversations with women in the workplace today. I have such an absolute pleasure to be sitting down with Ms. Adrienne Simmons, fitness and health and wellness coach, and Lord knows we need it.
00:17.75
Debra Coleman
She is the founder of energy for life. And I can't wait to get into some really energizing conversation with Ms. Adrienne. So thank you so much for being here with me today.
00:27.60
Adrienne
Thank you so much for inviting me. I'm so happy to be here.
00:32.01
Debra Coleman
ah but Me too, because you know what, i am of i'm a woman of a certain age, I'm not afraid to say I'm 53. And reading about your expertise in fatigue and brain fog, I was just like, yes, please.
00:45.19
Debra Coleman
Finally, someone who gets it. So and I know there are so many of my listeners who are maybe in the same neighborhood. Um, so I can't wait. So let's get to it. Let's talk about energy while I still have some, you know, I mean, my energy level, it goes with the sun.
01:00.56
Debra Coleman
I have so much. I love your Energizer bunny reference. Cause I just, I go with it in the morning.
01:04.73
Adrienne
Yeah. Yes. Yeah.
01:06.45
Debra Coleman
I'm ping, ping, ping, ping. And then as the sun goes down, i go down.
01:07.79
Adrienne
Yeah. Yeah. Gotcha.
01:10.14
Debra Coleman
Do not even come at me after seven o'clock. Do not even try. you won't even get a comprehensive answer. You'll just get like probably a, so just a really scary stare.
01:16.61
Adrienne
yeah
01:19.71
Debra Coleman
And then I'll walk away. And I may or may not have vodka in my hand. No judgment, no judgment. So Miss Adrian, let's talk about that energy. So I referenced Energizer Bunny and not not all my listeners will understand that.
01:32.84
Debra Coleman
So you went from being the Energizer Bunny to hitting a wall in your 50s as well.
01:37.95
Adrienne
That's right. That's right.
01:38.88
Debra Coleman
What was that wake up moment like? And what finally made you say, okay, something's got to change here?
01:45.68
Adrienne
For me, the wake up moment, there were The first one was when I went for my annual medical checkup. I was maybe 54, 55, been with that doctor for many years.
01:57.26
Debra Coleman
Mm.
01:58.78
Adrienne
So he knew me quite well. Soon as I walked in, he goes, Adrian, what's wrong? Like, where's where's that spunk? You've always walked in with a pep in your step. And, you know, you're just, you're slouching over.
02:11.32
Adrienne
I'm noticing dark circles under your eyes. You look like you've gained some weight since I saw you last year. And there's yeah the sparkle. has gone out of your eyes. What is going on?
02:23.40
Adrienne
Now, let's be honest, it's my doctor. Between you and i I was out the night before because what led up to that is I got involved with a lot of late night partying, lot of drinking, started indulging in a lot of party drugs. And sometimes I go right through the night and get right back to work at nine o'clock the next morning with no sleep whatsoever. So continuing to abuse my body.
02:51.59
Adrienne
I didn't know I was abusing back then. I i would never admit it. I was just going with the flow, having fun. My daughter went away to university, empty nester, nobody's at home, no reason for me to come home now. I'm bored when I come home because I ain't got nothing to do. So I opted to stay out And it started getting later and later and later.
03:14.84
Adrienne
You continue this for a couple of years, sooner or later your body's gonna say, i can't hold you up anymore. You have abused me for so long, Adrian.
03:28.26
Adrienne
I can't help you any longer. So, of course, when I walked into my doctor's office, evidence was right there for him to see. I ain't going to tell him I was out the night before drugging.
03:39.44
Adrienne
i said, oh, you know what? It's work. I got a lot of projects, lot of things going on. He goes, Adrian, but yeah maybe even so... There's something else going on.
03:52.14
Adrienne
No. And then I remembered, but doc, hold on a second. I'm in my fifties. I remember when I was a young girl, I would hear my parents in the other room. so-and-so's 50 now.
04:03.97
Adrienne
She should be slowing down. Oh, so-and-so is 55 now. He should be feeling aches and pains. So I said, Doc, that's what I always knew. That's what I was taught. So of course I've gained weight.
04:17.14
Adrienne
I'm getting older. Of course I've got bags under my eyes. I'm getting older. It's supposed to happen. He goes, absolutely not, Adrian. Absolutely not. There is something going on.
04:28.35
Adrienne
But if you're not ready to talk about it, all I am saying, Adrian, is I've noticed a drastic change in you. We're going to do some tests and see if there's something underlining that may be causing this.
04:41.18
Adrienne
ah Yeah, yeah, no problem, doc. He did the test, went out of the office. Week later, gives me a call. Adrian, sit down. I got some bad news for you. Now, prior to that, Deborah, my checkups have been thumbs up, thumbs up, every year after year after year.
04:55.05
Adrienne
So when he says, I've got some bad news for you, I sat down and I said, oh, I couldn't imagine what it was because I am not still equating all the alcohol.
05:05.66
Adrienne
And remember, I'm eating a whole lot of processed food because I ain't coming home to cook. I'm going to McDonald's. i'm going to I'm going anywhere to grab something quickly so I can now get to work. So I am not equating processed foods, sugar, greasy food, alcohol, drugs.
05:21.71
Adrienne
I'm not equating this to, oh, it's going to result in a bad outcome. So he goes, Adrian, I'm going to let you know you are pre-diabetic and you are so close to the line of crossing over to being diabetic.
05:38.89
Adrienne
You better be careful, Adrian, something is going on.
05:42.56
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm.
05:43.97
Adrienne
You've never had a blood test with this result. Please be mindful, change your habits. You know, he talked in general about, you know, eating more vegetables and fruits and exercising.
05:55.86
Adrienne
Yeah, yeah, doc. Yeah, yeah, no problem. he And I went on my way. But Deborah, I continued. I'm not going to stop. Of course, I went out the next night. What finally came to a head, Deborah?
06:07.48
Adrienne
So this was maybe October, maybe November. The following January, so two, three months later, i remember it clearly. it was a bitterly cold winter in Toronto, I'm in Toronto, Canada. It was like minus 30 degrees. It was freezing outside.
06:25.52
Adrienne
I was still smoking cigarettes. I was still smoking marijuana. I remember, Deborah, it took me 10 minutes just to layer up, to go outside in my garage, right connected to my house.
06:37.38
Adrienne
And I'm sitting down there, Deborah, my gloves are off because I can't smoke with big bulky gloves on. I got a cigarette in one hand. I got a joint in the other hand. I'm smoking... And all of a sudden, Deborah, I broke down.
06:50.09
Debra Coleman
um
06:50.37
Adrienne
I don't know where it came from, but I broke down and I said, God, I can't do this anymore. I don't want to do this anymore. Monday, I start off.
07:02.55
Adrienne
Okay, Adrian, it's a fresh week. Behave, go for a walk, eat some more vegetables. But by Thursday, the itch is back, and I'm back in the club Thursday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
07:16.04
Adrienne
And it was a vicious cycle. And I said, God, I need... help. I need your help. I need some spiritual help to get me off of this madness.
07:27.88
Adrienne
And I cried and I cried and I cried. don't know how long I sat there for in my freezing cold, because you know, I ain't got no heat on in the garage. It's outside, freezing cold. And I'm sitting outside and I'm crying.
07:40.67
Adrienne
And then I guess when I had no more tears left, I went inside, went to bed and then Same thing happened next week. But I noticed maybe two weeks after that, it's like a shift took over me. It's like a spirit took over me, Debra, because all of a sudden I was more interested in doing research around, well, you know what?
08:06.51
Adrienne
How do women's bodies change? as we move into our 50s. So as opposed to going out after work, I was more interested in coming home and doing some research because my father died from his diabetes in his mid 60s.
08:24.43
Adrienne
So if I'm mid 50s, Deborah, all I'm thinking about is, you mean I could be dead in 10 to 12
08:30.21
Debra Coleman
Right.
08:30.63
Adrienne
Shit. Next, my daughter. She may get married one day. I want to be there for her. She may have children one day. I want to get to know my grandkids. And number three, Debra, do you know the famous Miss Betty White?
08:45.41
Debra Coleman
Yes.
08:46.35
Adrienne
Okay, Betty White, 99, passed away at 99, but right up until the end, Deborah, she was co-producing, she was acting, she was vital, she was attractive.
08:49.89
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm.
08:58.56
Adrienne
For me, Betty White was my role model. I wanna be like Betty White, I wanna be 99, and I wanna be hitting it out of the park. So for those three reasons, and I am gonna say up until today, it was divine intervention, I shifted to more, you know what?
09:15.54
Adrienne
I need to make some serious changes. Long story short, after my intense research, it's like, oh, okay. So because we are living organisms, we need to fuel our body with something that is made for us.
09:32.28
Adrienne
And that is roots. Anything that comes from a root, fruits and vegetables and nuts and grains. Oh, okay. Nice to know that. Water. Okay, okay, because we're made of 80% water, I should be flushing and drinking more water.
09:47.09
Adrienne
Oh, oh, sugar does that? Oh, fried food does that? You mean all the donuts and the bagels, the pros, that is do it? Oh, and you mean because I'm not getting the sunlight?
10:00.05
Adrienne
Oh, and you mean because I'm not moving my body? Oh, and because I'm hanging out with people in the clubs who obviously have a different alternative. Oh, my social networks as well too, dragging me down.
10:13.14
Adrienne
All of that is what I found in my research. And I said, okay, so you mean to say that I can change around the choices I've been making.
10:25.34
Adrienne
And as a result, my body will respond in kind. I said, okay, let me put it to the test. I used myself as a beta test. I created kind of a nutritional plan.
10:36.51
Adrienne
I joined the gym. I started going out for walks at lunchtime. Stop the sugar, stop the processed food, stop the the the greasy foods over time, over a 12-month period.
10:48.06
Adrienne
And I started to notice, Debra, as the months kind of moved ahead and I continued, my energy levels started increase. increase because when I was at my absolute worst, Deborah, if we're saying out of 10 and 10 is I'm super woman and one is I can barely walk, I would say most days at my worst, Deborah, I was a two or three. I don't know how I got to work. I don't know how I didn't get fired, Debra, because I was a hot mess.
11:17.03
Adrienne
I had no energy. um My mind, I wasn't thinking. All I thought about, going to the club, going to drink, going to do some drugs. My mind just wasn't clear. It wasn't focused. It wasn't making the right decisions.
11:29.31
Adrienne
But as I started to clean up my act, it's like my body said, thank you, Adrienne. Thank you, Adrian. Thank you, Adrian. Here you go. Here's your reward. Here's some more energy. And it's like, oh, okay, let me keep on going. Let me keep on going.
11:44.79
Adrienne
Deborah, girl, by the end of the 12 months, bam, bam, bam. I was back up to an eight to a nine to a 10 out of 10 because my body said, Adrian, you scratch my back. um a scratch your back right now.
11:56.84
Adrienne
And I know you need energy. I got your energy and I got your back. And there you go. There's my story, Deborah.
12:03.61
Debra Coleman
Oh my, wow. Wow. What a story.
12:07.44
Adrienne
Yeah.
12:08.08
Debra Coleman
You really made 180 degree shift to reclaim, yeah.
12:08.61
Adrienne
Yeah.
12:11.67
Adrienne
I certainly did.
12:13.87
Debra Coleman
Oh my gosh. To reclaim your vitality, essentially.
12:16.59
Adrienne
Yes, ma'am.
12:16.71
Debra Coleman
i mean, oh my God. And I love your Betty White reference. Yes, she should be like on everybody's mirror, like emulate, emulate, emulate.
12:24.95
Adrienne
Yep.
12:25.03
Debra Coleman
Wow. That is, oh, okay. That is a success story right there.
12:30.56
Adrienne
Thank you.
12:31.84
Debra Coleman
For women who are listening and who are like, you know what, Adrienne, I hear you. However, I'm tired.
12:38.69
Adrienne
Yeah.
12:38.57
Debra Coleman
I don't even know if I have the energy to even put into me, me finding out how to have more energy. How do you, what, what advice do you give to women who are just, who, who need to, who are wondering like, is this just the way it is for me?
12:54.18
Debra Coleman
How do we know when it's an energy issue or when it's something more serious?
12:54.33
Adrienne
Yeah.
12:57.13
Adrienne
Yeah. Yeah, absolutely. and
13:00.18
Debra Coleman
Yeah.
13:02.15
Adrienne
It, you know, you will know as you start to I like to say, and I hope I'm not offending anybody, I like to say we need to start showing more respect for our bodies.
13:17.22
Adrienne
We need to acknowledge that our bodies have been there for us from the time we took our first breath
13:17.13
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm.
13:24.83
Adrienne
and we face this world. Our bodies have held us up every single day. No matter how we have abused our bodies, our bodies are still there taking care of us, doing its best to hold us up and move us through the day.
13:43.09
Adrienne
So what I say to my clients and to your listeners as well too, It starts with a why. It starts with a why. I'm not even gonna sugarcoat If you don't have a reason why you want to make health changes, better lifestyle changes in your life, you're always gonna default to what's comfortable.
14:04.02
Adrienne
Remember, our minds have gotten so used to what makes us happy. oh she likes McDonald's, that makes her happy. Let's go get some McDonald's. Oh, she likes the Starbucks and the latte and all the sweet sugars and the donuts.
14:19.32
Adrienne
Let's give her that because that's what she wants. So whenever we're in any kind of vibe, you know what? I had a hard day. That's not fair. I don't like the way that Cherson spoke to me. I'm unhappy right now.
14:30.49
Adrienne
Let me go and get something that makes me happy. And for most of us, it it's definitely food for a lot of people.
14:32.85
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
14:37.08
Adrienne
And it's not always a salad. Most times it's our comfort food. And you and I know and your audience know our comfort food, nine times out of 10, has a tendency to be
14:41.64
Debra Coleman
ah here
14:48.12
Adrienne
processed food. It just is. Deborah, I'm not going lie to you. I will always love a Big Mac, hot fries, and a strawberry milkshake. I ain't going to lie. But I know my body says, Adrian, Adrian, I don't like that. It makes me feel heavy.
15:05.11
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm.
15:05.27
Adrienne
The sugar is just, I don't like it, Adrian. But remember, I'm in charge, Deborah.
15:08.61
Debra Coleman
and
15:10.76
Adrienne
My body, as much as my body is holding me up, at the end of the day, I'm still the one in charge. And if I say, you know what? I know it's not good for me, but I want it. I'm gonna go and get it. And that's what happens to most of us. So we need to find a why to anchor us so that when we do go through those times where, you know what? I had a hard day.
15:32.02
Adrienne
I can't be bothered to cook. Let me just stop and get some nachos fully loaded. Your why will be okay, but hold on. You said that you wanted to play with your grandkids.
15:42.97
Adrienne
You said that you wanted to go on that vacation with your spouse this summer. And you know, that vacation is going to have you out there doing a lot of trekking. You need to be in physical shape. You said you wanted to go back to school.
15:54.89
Adrienne
You need to be mentally energized though. So whatever your why is Deborah, it's gotta be strong enough for me, not wanting to be dead in 10 years for me,
16:01.77
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm.
16:06.06
Adrienne
wanting to meet my grandkids. For me, not wanting to disappoint Betty White. I want to be 99 and I want, for me, that was enough so that when I was going through my 12 months, sure, there were times where I said, you know what, man, I think I'd like maybe some of that drug again.
16:22.88
Adrienne
And it's like, Adrian, stop, stop, stop, stop. stop stop Think about your daughter. And I forgot to say, my daughter was coming home from university too, Debra. There is no way, Debra, I can let my daughter come home from university and see me in that condition.
16:32.42
Debra Coleman
hmm. hmm.
16:36.13
Adrienne
So ah I forgot. That was the fourth reason. It's like, Adrian, you need to get your shit together. Because for me, I've always been the kind of mother You know when you hear kids say, when people ask, who is your role model?
16:48.71
Adrienne
And some of them will say their mother or their father. Deborah, for me, I always want my daughter, if she has ever asked that question, Deborah, I want her to say, one of my role models, I have a few, but one of them was my mom.
17:02.64
Adrienne
She's the one that built and gave me that foundation.
17:02.63
Debra Coleman
Wow.
17:06.65
Adrienne
so to to who I am today. There's no way if I continued on that same path, Deborah, my daughter could look at me and say, you're my role model. For me, that was it.
17:15.57
Debra Coleman
wow
17:17.44
Adrienne
That was it. So when I went through those days during those 12 months, it's like Adrian, your daughter, Your daughter, you want her to be proud of you.
17:28.93
Adrienne
Keep on driving, go to the gym. Don't worry, forget that McDonald's. Go home, you can make a salad. Now, I gotta be honest. Once in a while, Deborah, absolutely. I'm at a barbecue, I'm at a person's you know birthday, whatever.
17:41.23
Adrienne
Yes, I'll indulge. I will absolutely indulge.
17:42.74
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm. Yeah.
17:44.39
Adrienne
But I will say first to my body, body, I'm gonna be honest with you.
17:44.51
Debra Coleman
yeah
17:48.53
Adrienne
I'm going to this event. I gotta be honest, I'm gonna be eating the chicken wings, I'm gonna be eating the burger, I'm gonna be eating the cheesecake. I am sorry, in between, I will do my best to drink as much water and I promise you tomorrow, i will clean out my body and I will basically just have a lot of vegetables and fruit. So I will always communicate, I've learned to communicate with my body because for me, that's part of showing her respect and acknowledging her and honoring her for how she has held me up. Deborah, I didn't have to make it, Deborah.
18:23.61
Adrienne
I could have, something could have happened on one of those, you know, drug induced times. I might not be here, but you see, she held me up. She held me up even though she was tired.
18:30.56
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm. Mm-hmm.
18:32.81
Adrienne
She was tired. She was fatigued. I had gained weight. My body held me up, Deborah. I cannot disrespect her anymore. i might not make it next time, Deborah.
18:43.92
Adrienne
I need to say, body, thank you every day. Thank you. Thank you. Thank you for holding me up. Thank you for giving me energy from sunrise to sunset.
18:54.90
Adrienne
I honor you. I acknowledge you. I respect you. And I love you for taking care of Adrian.
19:02.35
Debra Coleman
I love it every word of that, every word of that. And i I applaud you. That is such a huge, what so inspirational, honestly, your journey. ah But you're right.
19:12.66
Adrienne
Thank you.
19:13.60
Debra Coleman
It is almost like a contract you're making with your body.
19:16.98
Adrienne
Yes.
19:16.91
Debra Coleman
It really is. i made a similar contract in 2023 at the beginning of summer.
19:18.34
Adrienne
Yes.
19:21.66
Adrienne
Yes.
19:22.32
Debra Coleman
I said, we're starting now. We're going to do 12 months and we're going to shape it up. You know, all the things you mentioned.
19:27.01
Adrienne
yes
19:28.94
Debra Coleman
all the, the lotion, the no sugar, the process, all that, but you know, energy walk more.
19:29.13
Adrienne
yes
19:33.47
Debra Coleman
And in 12 months time, I re transform ret transformform myself.
19:33.71
Adrienne
yes yes
19:36.73
Debra Coleman
I am like two sizes down.
19:37.23
Adrienne
yeah
19:38.33
Debra Coleman
I lost 20 pounds.
19:38.70
Adrienne
yes yes
19:40.70
Debra Coleman
And I, and and let um if I see a cupcake, I'm like, what feels better shoving that cupcake down your throat or putting on that pair of jeans you've been avoiding for five years.
19:44.60
Adrienne
Yes. Yes. Yes. Hello. Hello. Hello.
19:51.10
Debra Coleman
That's, that's my why. And I'm ah I know it probably sounds shallow, but that's what generates.
19:52.80
Adrienne
hello
19:55.24
Adrienne
um
19:55.62
Debra Coleman
That's what gets me. I'm like, no,
19:56.94
Adrienne
ah There you go. Deborah, there's nothing wrong with looking good. I look fantastic.
20:00.49
Debra Coleman
Right.
20:01.43
Adrienne
I look absolutely fantastic.
20:02.32
Debra Coleman
You do.
20:03.24
Adrienne
And that's my reward.
20:03.17
Debra Coleman
You are beautiful. Yeah.
20:05.49
Adrienne
That's my reward.
20:05.51
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm.
20:06.55
Adrienne
My body is saying, there you go, Adrian.
20:06.91
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm.
20:09.36
Adrienne
There you go.
20:09.27
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm.
20:10.04
Adrienne
You're fit. You're trim. You're flexible. You look good, Adrian. There's nothing wrong with looking good.
20:14.72
Debra Coleman
Right.
20:15.92
Adrienne
We're supposed to be proud of who we are.
20:16.15
Debra Coleman
Mm-mm. Mm-hmm. Exactly. But it starts with the mind.
20:21.21
Adrienne
yes ma'am.
20:21.22
Debra Coleman
It starts with, at least it like you pointed out.
20:23.57
Adrienne
Yeah.
20:23.49
Debra Coleman
So, Ms. Adrienne, what's one common myth about fatigue or low energy that you'd love to debunk?
20:31.16
Adrienne
Wow. um One fatigue, one um myth that I get a lot is it happens automatically as you cross over the 50 year line.
20:42.51
Adrienne
It happens automatically as you get older.
20:42.55
Debra Coleman
Mmm. Yeah.
20:44.96
Adrienne
That is so untrue because if you look at our younger generation today, a lot of them, their whole diet is processed.
20:56.71
Debra Coleman
yeah

Their whole lifestyle, they're key to that phone. And I didn't even get into the EMF, the electromagnetic fields, which have been proven now on a cellular basis to be damaging to our cells.
21:13.38
Adrienne
And so we're wondering now, why are we continuing to be fatigued?
21:13.37
Debra Coleman
Hmm. Hmm.
21:18.42
Adrienne
It's because we're so connected to our phone We're so connected to our laptop. On top of that, we're in a home with all these appliances. Our bodies are being bombarded with so much dirty electricity that's going down to a cellular level and harming our cells and tissues. And as a result, if our cells and tissues are damaged, Deborah, how are they supposed to work for us?
21:44.08
Adrienne
So instead of working for us, our bodies are continuing to break down. There is a lot of youth that I am being connected to today that are fatigued in their 20s, fatigued in their 30s, fatigued in their 40s, brain fog, and they're wondering, but I'm young, but I'm young.
21:55.92
Debra Coleman
Yeah.
22:00.90
Adrienne
But hold on a second, sweetheart. Tell me a little bit about your lifestyle. Well, yeah, I know I was up till two o'clock in the morning and my phone.
22:04.61
Debra Coleman
Mm.
22:08.37
Adrienne
But hold on a second. That's disrespect to your body. Your body needs seven to nine hours of solid sleep. Yeah, yeah, but but I'm young. I don't need that much sleep.
22:18.78
Adrienne
Well, then there you go. There you go.
22:20.17
Debra Coleman
Yeah.
22:21.33
Adrienne
No matter how old you are, your body still needs that acknowledgement of... Give me what I need so I can take care of you. So a big myth is, oh, that only happens to older people.
22:36.07
Adrienne
Not anymore, Deborah. Not anymore.
22:37.21
Debra Coleman
That's right.
22:38.05
Adrienne
Not anymore, Deborah.
22:38.24
Debra Coleman
That's right. Mm-hmm.
22:39.24
Adrienne
Not anymore. It boils down to... How are you taking care of your physical body, your mental capacities and your emotional capacities?
22:49.70
Adrienne
Because mind, body and spirit where it's all connected, it starts with, OK, you know what? Someone cut me off in traffic. So in your mind, you're saying, wait a minute, hang on a second.
23:00.74
Adrienne
And that moves down into your feeling. How do you feel pissed off? What do you do about it? Physically, you drive up and you give the person the finger. It started in the mind.
23:11.61
Adrienne
into your spirit, into a physical manifestation. It's all connected. We need to realize that your body is saying, as long as you give me what I need, I'm going to take care of your mental needs, your emotional needs, and your physical needs. I will take care of all of your channels.
23:30.46
Adrienne
but you gotta do something for me. And you know at the you know, just to kind of, you know, to kind of, you know, wind this down, Debra, what I've come to realize is our bodies ask us for so little, just give me a little bit of vegetables every day.
23:42.90
Adrienne
Just can I have some fruits?
23:43.41
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm.
23:44.63
Adrienne
Can I just have some more water?
23:44.61
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm.
23:46.08
Adrienne
Can we go for just a little bit of walk Can we go to bed just a little bit earlier? Deborah, that's so small. And look at the big rewards our bodies give us. They give us vitality and abundance and beauty and flexibility and strength.
23:56.32
Debra Coleman
Mm-hmm.
24:02.05
Adrienne
We get so much more out of the deal than we give our bodies. But our bodies are saying, that's cool. I don't need much, but I'm going to reward you with a whole lot.
24:12.27
Debra Coleman
who Oh, wow. I love that. Oh, so true. So true.
24:17.68
Adrienne
Yeah.
24:17.94
Debra Coleman
And so affirming.
24:18.50
Adrienne
Yeah.
24:19.02
Debra Coleman
Oh my gosh, Adrian.
24:19.92
Adrienne
Yeah,
24:20.51
Debra Coleman
Ah, I, I could go on and on with you on this.
24:23.24
Adrienne
and I know, me too.
24:23.96
Debra Coleman

24:25.38
Adrienne

24:27.52

Debra Coleman

Debra Coleman

24:40.15

Debra Coleman
So I appreciate your insight.
24:42.64
Adrienne
Okay.
24:43.15
Debra Coleman
This is great. um One quick question. If you had an energy anthem, like a song, is there a song that instantly boosts your mood and gets you moving? Because I'm big.
24:52.84
Adrienne
I'm every woman. Look at y'all.
24:54.84
Debra Coleman

24:55.77
Adrienne

24:58.25
Debra Coleman

25:00.64
Debra Coleman

25:03.21
Adrienne
my jam. That's my jam.
25:05.03
Debra Coleman
Oh, I love it. I love it. And that that tracks. That totally makes sense. Shaka Khan and Whitney, done and done.
25:13.70
Adrienne
Yep.
25:13.80
Debra Coleman

25:14.51
Adrienne

25:14.71
Debra Coleman

Adrienne

25:34.27

Fitness/Health & Wellness
I was born with boundless energy, even into my 40's they use to call me the 'energizer bunny'.
That all changed as I crossed over my 50 year line; my energy levels dropped, I gained weight lbs and for the first time in my life, I was diagnosed as being pre-diabetic.
Why, because I was living the same lifestyle that'd I'd lived in my 30's & 40's. Worked full time, socialized after work, partied into the wee hours of the morn and with that came lots of take out, alcohol and party favors.
Scared that if I did not make some drastic lifestyle changes,
I may not have the life of vitality& longevity I always dreamed of in my second season of life (like Betty White).
Starting with a 180 mindset shift, a healthier lifestyle plan support & people who had my back, over a 6 month period I lost that extra weight that my body did not need, rebuilt my energy levels and reclaimed my youthful VITALITY.
Since that time, I've become more aware of people all around me suffering with brain fog and various levels of chronic fatigue.
I knew what I had to do...I created The Energy Edge:Unlock Your Energy Potential program for them, why, because if I was able to rebuild & reclaim my vitality, others could as well.
If your fatigue has you in its grip and tells you what you can and cannot do, it's time to take back control !!!
